Bearing Wall Removal

Removing a bearing is typically more involved than just replacing the wall with a beam. Deflection and vibration control, changes to loading of the foundations, and impacts the lateral force resisting system are important aspects that need to be fully considered for a successful project. Infinity Engineering will ensure each aspect of the project gets the attention it deserves.

Settlement

Settlement is a normal and expected part of the service life of all structures supported by the soil. Infinity Engineering will help determine if the settlement is excessive and/or causing structural distress, and formulate a practical and cost-effective path forward.

Sloping and Sagging Floors

Sloping and sagging floors can be a result of poor workmanship, a result of settlement, or a sign of inadequate framing. Infinity Engineering will provide a thorough investigation with practical recommendations.

Cracking Brick

Whether it's structural masonry or veneer, cracks in brickwork can be structurally benign or a symptom of larger structural problems. Infinity Engineering will evaluate the underlying cause and severity and provide recommendations for long lasting repairs.

Additions

Many additions can be adequately built using the prescriptive provisions of the IRC. Long spans, tall walls, and extra large windows often fall outside the limitations of the IRC. Infinity Engineering can provide engineering recommendations to help you make the most informed decisions for your investment.

Whether it's an addition, renovation, major structural repair, or just a concern, Infinity Engineering will help you understand the project in its totality, providing you with the information you need to make the most informed decisions possible.
